How to Stay Cozy and Cute This Winter!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

“Polar vortex” quickly became this winter’s newest buzzword—the term used to explain the Arctic cold-front that passed through most of the country. The thought of several layers, bulky sweaters and chapped lips does not sound cute; however, let’s not let the subzero temperatures put a freeze on our stylish efforts! For those of you staring into your closets and feeling like you have nothing to wear, I firmly believe you have more wardrobe options during these chilly months. Here are a few style and beauty tips to keep cozy AND cute this winter.

The Maylin Cable Turtleneck is cozy and flattering… you can find her on sale at BCBG!

Try slouching a thick pair of knit socks over skinnies and matched with a pair of ankle boots.

All black is chic and a great color when you’re feeling pale. If you’re going to rock it from head to toe make sure to incorporate different textures (leather, fur, knit) – this will keep the look from feeling dull!

The Knitted Meena Scarf you won’t want to leave the house without…she is now on sale at Free People!

And for the bits of you that aren’t bundled up, make sure they’re done right!

Try Chanel’s Rouge Allure lipstick in 116 for a pop of color!

Add OPI’s Matte Top Coat to your favorite nail polish for a velvety smooth finish.
