Fall Favorites from the Streets of Fashion Week: New York

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

Runway style and trendsetting has been the spotlight of Fashion Weeks everywhere, but to catch the more unexpected trends, get absolute, unique inspiration, and see those crazy outfits – look to the streets! This is where we see the models’ personal styles, (usually skinny jeans, biker boots and cool t-shirts – flawless), the “I-do-my-own-thing group,” and the weirdos (but honestly if you’re weird in fashion that means you’re cool). These people mix and match, they mis-match, and think outside the box. We may not always agree with the outfit in question, but that’s the beauty of fashion. There are no rules (No white pants after Labor Day – really? It’s still hot in October here in Boston), everyone is free to express himself or herself however they wish – lets just keep it legal!

I have compiled some of my favorite pictures from the Fashion Weeks all over the world. Since there are so many fabulous people out there, and I have a slight problem with decision-making, I’m making this a series. Once a week for the next 5 weeks, I’ll post my favorite “street style” looks. First up is New York Fashion Week! I personally love, love, love to look at pictures rather than reading long, tedious articles. So here you go. ENJOY!
