Lately it seems as if every week a new Hollywood couple is engaged. Well, in case you are not aware, we are currently in the middle of “engagement season.” In the world of weddings, engagement season runs from Thanksgiving all the way to Valentines Day. The two most popular days for proposals are Christmas Eve and Valentines Day. Some celebrities are taking advantage of this season and popping the question, while others couldn’t wait for the season to start and proposed well before the season.
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West
Let’s go back a little bit to October. Kanye West planned an extravagant proposal for Kim Kardashian. Kanye rented out the AT&T Park in San Francisco and hired a 50-piece orchestra. All of their family and friends were also there, and excited to run out and celebrate once Kim’s new 15-carat ring was on her finger.
I’m sure if we were to ask Kanye he would say that he had the best proposal… of all time!
Ciara & Future
Ciara also recently got engaged. Future proposed to Ciara on her birthday with a 15-carat diamond ring. He had the ring custom-made and designed, which took over a month to complete.
There have been many magazine articles published showing off Ciara and Kim’s engagement rings and comparing the two since they are both 15-carat rocks. I personally like the style and setting of Kim’s ring better, but they are both gorgeous! Which one is your favorite?
Lauren Conrad & William Tell
Out of all of the celebrity engagements that have happened recently, I am the most excited about Lauren Conrad’s engagement. This may have to do with the fact that she has been one of my role models ever since her early days of Laguna Beach and The Hills. I can’t be the only one excited for her to start sharing her wedding tips and plans. The fact that her fiancé William Tell is just a regular guy makes their engagement much more relatable. He may be just a regular guy, but he sure did not skimp on LC’s gorgeous 2-carat, round cut diamond.
Whitney Port & Tim Rosenman
Another one of the beloved Hills stars just got engaged too… how coincidental! Whitney and Tim met when Whitney was starring on the MTV show, The City. Tim was an associate producer of the show. The two were vacationing in Australia when he popped the question. Whitney’s ring is a stunning oval shape with a diamond encrusted gold band.
Ashlee Simpson & Evan Ross
These two just got engaged while on vacation in Hawaii. How romantic! Evan went for a non-traditional wedding ring designed by Neil Lane, which I think is stunning. What do you think about this design?
