If you believed Kylie Jenner was pregnant from the very first moment there was speculation, then you’re probably looking for a pat on the back and waiting to yell “I told you so!” at all who doubted. The pregnancy rumors began back in September, (if you want a refresher and a few laughs, I’ll leave my article where I talk about the speculations via memes here: http://www.hercampus.com/school/suffolk/kylie-jenners-pregnancy-told-memes) but on February 4th, aka SuperBowl Sunday (well played, Kris) Kylie Jenner revealed in an Instagram post, she gave birth to a baby girl on February 1st, with boyfriend, Travis Scott. Read the post below:
I truly have so much respect for Kylie for keeping her pregnancy a secret. As a young, public figure it can be difficult to go through a huge milestone in the public eye and I’m glad she chose to keep the process stress-free for both herself and the baby.
She didn’t keep us entirely in the dark, however. After announcing the birth of her daughter, Kylie uploaded a 20 second clip on her Instagram including her and Travis Scott having a romantic day on the beach, as well as Kylie’s friend Jordyn Woods leaving a message for Kylie’s daughter. The full 11-minute video is on Kylie’s YouTube channel and there’s link in her Instagram bio. I’ll link it here as well: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhIEIO0vaBE)
The video directed by Tyler Ross (who did a phenomenal job by the way) is titled “To Our Daughter” and shows a sneak peek of the past nine months of Kylie’s life and shows a first glimpse of Kim’s new daughter Chicago West. It is a beautiful video documenting Kylie’s pregnancy and if you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out!
On February 6th, Kylie posted the first ever photo of her daughter (which is now the most liked photo of all time on Instagram) and revealed her name, Stormi Webster, and yes there were many weather jokes made after, but I think it’s a cute name. See the post below:
All I know for sure, is that Kylie has always said she wants to be a mom. Even though she is young, given the maturity she’s shown so far, I think she’ll be a great mother. Congratulations Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott, and welcome to the world Stormi Webster!
