2025 was an amazing year- I just can’t prove it yet. This year was filled with some of the funniest memes, crazy TikTok sounds, and random viral moments that everyone enjoys. From Love Island quotes that was flooding everyone’s For You Page, to the insane Jet2 holiday edits, that proved a single sound or even a screenshot can make the entire world laugh. Now that the year 2025 is ending, let us recap on what was in our feeds that defined trends and memes in our lives.

  1. Nothing Beats a Jet 2 Holiday – This funny TikTok sound showed a lot people’s fails, falls, and laughable moments all around. This was one of the biggest TikTok sounds of the summer.
  2. Love Island- The show had most of TikTok in a chokehold throughout the summer. From “I’m a mommy,” “We don’t wanna do that,” to “I pick Clarke,” Love Island kept everyone on their toes all summer.
  3. STOP SIGN?!– This body cam footage of a traffic stop went viral. The older man screamed “Stop sign? What stop sign man?,” before the officer could explain why he stopped him. This became a TikTok sound that many people recreated or used the phrase “Stop sign.”
  4. 100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla- This was a trend earlier in the year that dealt with a lot of AI images comparing 100 men fighting off a gorilla. Many people gave their own personal take on what they believed the results would be. People later made their own twist to this such as “100 men vs. Honesty.”
  5. Whoopty Doo- This saying came from a Young Thug interview. Shortly after, this phrase was used on social media as a funny and sarcastic catchphrase meaning “Oh well.”

As the year 2025 comes to an end, it is good to look back and see all that has occurred this year. From memes we may have forgotten, to those currently trending, this has definitely been a year for the books.
