The gloomy days in the month of March here in Glasgow only make me dream more of a picture perfect beach lined with palm trees and golden sand, ahhh bliss! If you doubt that such a beautiful place exists, I am here to tell you it does, and its situated in the island of St. Lucia! This dreamy island located in the Caribbean has stunning views of magical peak top mountains, beaches lined with palm trees and clear turquoise waters. No wonder it has become home to so many celebrity weddings including that of Matt Damon and wife Luciana who were married on the beautiful sands of Sugar Beach, along with other celebrity attendees such as Chris Hemsworth!
If the scenery isn’t enough to tingle your imagination, the island offers plenty of activities, from its selection of spa resorts and retreats, to snorkeling and scuba diving excursions were you could explore the clear blue waters and the vast array of sea creatures! The Pitons, which are now two dormant volcanoes are open to guided tours for the fit and adventurous sightseers to enjoy! Visiting the Diamond Falls is said to be a magical experience; the waters are streamed with minerals and have a beautiful colourful appearance, definitely the best on the land!
As of food, St. Lucia offers unique and delicious selections. Almost every restaurant will serve fresh fruit and vegetables, and fish dishes are popular, cooked in many different ways: stewed, jerked or curried. What’s not to love?
