If your new Strathclyde we apologies, we should have told you before! To veterans, if you did not know these tips well you do now!
Get there early!
It’s true what they say; the early bird does catch the worm! If you have made the mistake and rolled in to the library about lunchtime you will know you will not get a space! Try and get into the library over lunch to lock down your seat if you are in for the long haul.
Avoid the coffee bar on the hour!
This may sound silly but this is the peak time for getting coffee as everyone is either going to class or after realizing how much work they need to do, coming to the library! If you need your fix, go about the half past the hour, the queue should not be too bad.
Bring fluffy socks!
The library is cold, particularly in short loan. Bring fluffy socks to keep your feet warm – just don’t forget to wear your shoes when walking about people will stare.
Bring a pillow!
No not for a nap! As you will know if your have spent anytime in the library the seats are not that comfy, so a pillow will soften your seat.
Wear extra layers!
For some reason the air conditioning is on constantly in the winter. Bring extra layers that you can type/ write in to keep you nice and toasty.Â
