YouTube-sday: Top 5 Harlem Shake Videos

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Stonehill chapter.

This is a new weekly series HC Stonehill will start doing entitled, YouTube-sday, meaning we will be posting our favorite YouTube finds for the week every Tuesday. We hope our tireless search to find the funniest/cutest/most epic videos every week will inspire you to procrastinate and take a break from your busy week!

This week, it seemed like a no brainer to do a post on the craze that seems to be sweeping the nation, the Harlem Shake. We chose our Top 5 of all of the videos we have seen (and there have been a lot!).

The first we would like to show is the UGA Swimteam challenging the traditional Harlem Shake by shaking it under water!

It was only a matter of time before someone remixed this to include adorable puppies, and we are so glad they did.

A past Stonehill Spring Weekend performer, Matt and Kim managed to accomplish an epic Harlem Shake at their concert at RPI in upstate NY.

It was inevitable that many would become sick of the multitude of Harlem Shake videos penetrating their newsfeeds. Northeastern created an “anti-Harlem Shake” that definitely made us laugh!

Finally, our favorite video of all has to be one that was made quite recently at the Maryland/Duke basketball game. This is hands down, the most impressive flashmob we have ever seen, and definitely watched it more than once!
