Listening to music can sometimes get boring after a while, so podcasts are a great way to pass time whether that be on a long drive, while doing homework, or just walking to class. I think the best things about podcasts is that you can always find one that interests you. There are podcasts, for pop culture, news, sports, tv shows, mental health, fashion, pretty much everything you can imagine. Especially during the pandemic, a lot of people, including many celebrities began their own podcasts as something to do, but they expanded to so much more than that. Podcasts are one of the top forms of media right now, so here are some of my top recommendations:

1. Chicks in the Office

The pop culture themed podcast hosted by Ria and Fran, covers everything you need to know about what is happening in the entertainment world. They often have celebrity guests such as the cast of Outer Banks, bachelor contestants and characters from various reality/ tv shows. They recap every episode of the bachelor franchise, and often bring in past contestants to help them. This podcast is always entertaining, and keeps you up to date with everything happening in the celebrity world.

2. Real Pod

This podcast is hosted by Victoria Garrick, who is a former D1 volleyball player at USC. She talks a lot about mental health, and body image struggles in student-athletes. She shares her own struggles with mental health, as well as has on guests to talk about their own experiences. She recently had on Olympic figure skater, Gracie Gold, who has been very open about her struggles with body image and mental health. Even if you aren’t an athlete I think this is a good podcast reccomendation because she talks a lot about learning to be confident in your own body, and not caring what other people think.

3. Gals on the Go

Hosted by influencer Danielle Carolan, and Brooke Miccio, this podcast talks a lot about productivity, and lifestyle tips. They often talk about being ambitious whether it is in school, career, or just life in general. They also share a lot of self-care tips and ways to become more confident. Many of their episodes are focused on tips to stay productive, organized and staying motivated, which sometimes we all need while in college.

There are so many different podcasts that it can be almost overwhelming, to be able to listen to them all, but these are three of my most recent favorites.
