A few weeks ago, I finally got my first deck of tarot cards. Learning how to read tarot cards is something that I have been wanting to do for a long time, and I am so excited to finally start my journey with them and become more connected to the spiritual world. My mom also bought her own deck, so it is something we get to experience together, which is super cool.

My mom and I have a regular psychic that we go to and get readings from once or twice a year. She also happens to teach tarot classes, so I am super excited to go to my first class with her this coming Thursday and learn from a professional!

Since I got my deck, I have just been familiarizing myself with the cards. I spend time with them every day to build a connection with them. I usually do a one card reading for myself when I wake up in the morning. I shuffle the cards and ask, “What do I need to focus on today?”. This is a great way to learn what the cards mean and get some guidance for the day ahead.

In addition to tarot cards, I also want to get into mediation. Being able to meditate allows you to focus and connect with the cards more and helps to add balance in your life. I’m a little nervous about trying it because I have always had a hard time focusing and relaxing, but my psychic says if I keep trying and practicing it will eventually come easily to me and it will feel so rewarding.

A lot of people assume that tarot reading and channeling your intuition is for witches or is connected to the devil. This is simply not true. While channeling bad energy and spirits can be done, it is not what most psychics do. In most cases, becoming more connected to the spiritual world allows peace and positive energy to enter your life. It also allows you to become more in tune with yourself, your surroundings, and the natural world. I recently bought a book that discusses your three super powers: meditation, imagination, and intuition. In the introduction, the author said something that really stood out to me. She said that by finding peace within ourselves, we are putting peaceful energy into the world, which will then spread to the people around us. The idea of spreading positive energy to other people is one that I find so wholesome and pure.

So if you’re looking to get into tarot, mediation, or anything similar, this article is your sign to go for it! Embrace this experience and you will find that tranquility and healing will enter your life.
