5 Reasons you should pick up the phone and call someone instead of texting them

  1. It’s hard to convey tone of voice over text, which makes it easy to misinterpret what someone says. This can potentially lead to conflicts and misunderstanding.

  2. Texting disassociates us from human connection. When we text we lose the human quality in our communication.

  3. Talking on the phone is more real than texting. Texting is impersonal in comparison, because you can’t hear reactions and tone of voice.

  4. Texting leads the way for avoidance of problems. It is much easier to ignore something that is bothering you over text, which can lead to problems escalating.

  5. When you talk on the phone you get an immediate answer rather than waiting for someone to text back.
