Recently, and because of the pandemic, I decided to try delivering for DoorDash. I wanted to make some extra cash and have some kind of income. I also did not want a part-time job and the stress that comes along with scheduling because I wanted to have time to focus on school and myself. I had been thinking about dashing for a while and thought it was the perfect time to try something different and out of my comfort zone. The added bonus was that I would be able to create and control my own schedule. I have only been dashing for a month now and I really enjoy doing it. I go on the app and hit “dash now” whenever I’m bored and need something fulfilling to do with my time. And as I said, I am new to this and probably have more to learn but I thought it would be a good idea to share this with other college students. This isn’t sponsored, but if you like driving aimlessly around, jamming to music with your friends, switch it up and try delivering food.

The one downside to dashing I have found so far is that you have to pay for your own gas. While I wish it was reimbursed, the money you do make from DoorDash and tips makes up for that loss. Other than that, I recommend dashing and possibly doing it with your friends. It’s the perfect time to try new things!
