5 Wardrobe Essentials This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Stonehill chapter.

With the cold weather soon approaching, it can be easy to want to throw on sweats and run out the door, but this fall here are five simple ways to better your style.

1. Flannel For the Weekend Fall is finally here, so welcome the pumpkin spice lattes and crisp air while letting these chic looks take the best you. A favorite fall trend of mine is throwing on a flannel. They are the perfect way to be cozy yet stylish on a cool day. A favorite go-to look is a flannel with distressed jeans and a solid shirt. They work with nearly every outfit and adds a rustic look that adds to the wonders of fall.

2. Cozy Knits Keep it simple, yet comfy and chic in a soft sweater. What better way to rock the fall style than pairing a sweater with jeans and booties. Embrace the warm fall colors through cozy sweaters layered with a scarf or necklace. 3. Booties over Everything Adding booties to the look combines the entire fall look. Whether you dress the outfit up or down, booties will tie it all together.

4. Boyfriend Jeans The loose fit and ripped style is a closet essential. Pair boyfriend jeans with a pocket tee or get inspired and creative by mixing and matching styles with these jeans.

5. Skirt the Problem Skirts are a trendy style that can allow you to make use of your summer looks in both seasons. Add a sweater and over the knee boots to spice up the look.
