Courtney Clemens ’17 On a Mission to Save the World

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Stockton chapter.

When it comes to hardworking college students, Courtney Clemens is quite the example. The 23 year old senior juggles several tasks on a daily basis and still somehow manages to be an impeccable student! On top of schoolwork, she is also extremely involved on campus. Courtney is a Residential Assistant at Seaview (off campus housing), a Student Office Assistant, and a member of the S.T.A.N.D organization, Circle K, and the Alternative Music Scene at Stockton. She is also the President of the all-female A cappella group on campus, Stockata. Some of her hobbies include singing, going to concerts of her favorite bands, writing poetry and articles, and reading.

Courtney is a Liberal Arts major with a concentration in Holocaust and Genocide studies. Her Liberal Arts degree is titled “Connections to Genocide” and she initially chose Stockton because it offered one of the top programs in the world for Holocaust and Genocide studies. As for her future goals, Courtney is currently applying to graduate school and wishes to continue her education right here on home grounds at Stockton. She plans on eventually working in higher education, specifically for residential life, and devoting a lot of her time to creating her own non-profit organization to assist and assimilate refugees into normal society, including job placements and housing relocation. Courtney is easily looked up to as a role model, and is selfless when it comes to helping her residents or other people in general. With her heart of gold and her versatile skills, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Courtney’s mission to save the world will be a successful one!
