Although we may be on the beach all day, at night I can guarantee most of us will be exploring the local clubs and bars of our spring break vacation. Of course we will be snapping a million candid shots while we dance the nights away so we will most definitely want to look our best to capture all those spring break memories! Here are a few ways to get a natural night-out look!

1.  Light Powder/ Bronzer
With all the vitamin D soaked up throughout our days, our complexion will be glowing with a natural tan. There is no need to clump on any foundation! Your skin will already be flawless from the natural sun exposure. Also, applying foundation to your skin in the heat will only clog your pores and make your skin look caked and chalky.  It’s best to apply a regular non-oil moisturizer, and then apply a light coat of sheer powder or bronzer to smooth out the skin from any red spots or discoloration.

2. Shimmery Shadows
We want to look natural while on the beach rather than the usual smoky-eyes we’d normally want to acquire when going to city bars. Stick to neutral colored shimmery shades! If you have green, brown, or hazel eyes wear a natural gold shadow with shimmery hints to brighten up your eyes. If you have blue or grey colored eyes, stick to a sheer silver shadow. Applying a shimmer to your lids will naturally brighten your eyes and will still be appropriate for night-out make-up.

3. Water Proof Mascara
In the day or night, waterproof mascara will do wonders and will not have to be retouched-up throughout the whole day.  Once you apply waterproof mascara there is no need to reapply it later. Reapplying waterproof mascara will become extremely clumpy and hard to remove. One simple coat will do wonders to your day or night look!

4. No Black Liner
With a lighter eye there is no need to apply any black to your top liner. Use a lighter grey or coffee colored pencil if you want to apply any liner at all to your eyes. The grey or coffee color will do justice to the silver or gold shimmer on your lids without overpowering your natural look.

5. Gloss Not Stick

Your lips gain color from the sun just as our skin does so use a gloss rather than a lipstick. Gloss is a much more natural route to take. Lipstick can be messy, especially in the heat so it’s best to not even pack to take on your vacation.  Lip-gloss will also supply your lips with moisture, which you will definitely want after being out in the sun all day!

Remember, less is more especially when you’re out in the sun! Applying too much of any make-up can easily turn your natural look into a clumpy disaster!
