It’s about that point during spring break…the excitement from the beginning has dwindled and in its place we feel the pressure of finding a summer job or internship. Our weekends have fallen prey to the same old routine which makes heading back to school rather difficult. Lucky for us college students, there is a ray of sunlight peaking through our skies of gray; we have come to know this as Spring Break!

Spring break is coming to a close, and the timing couldn’t be better! It’s time to round up your friends, grab your bathing suit, and escape reality. Haven’t had any plans yet? Go on a spontaneous road trip with your friends that are staying in town! You never know where the road might lead. Remember it doesn’t matter where you are, it’s who you’re with. If you’re staying at school take advantage of the beach! You can fill your days with fun in the sun and not have to worry about paying for a hotel. Lastly, take some time for yourself. It can be hard to get time alone and you should take advantage of the chance to have a little “me time”. Use this opportunity to do something local that you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t had the time for.

For those of you who just want to get away before school starts back up, it’s time to get this party started! Whether you’re headed down to the Florida Keys or flying west to Colorado it’s time to get a start on your ultimate getaway. Start making a list of what you’re going to need while you’re gone: sun dress, snow suit, sunglasses, ski mask…If you’re traveling with friends talk it out with them. This will help you make sure you don’t bring two of one thing and ultimately save room in your suitcase. When deciding what to pack always keep in mind that it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

No matter where the end of spring break might take you, be sure to document the fun! Grab your GoPro or purchase a disposable camera! We’ve all become consumed with getting the “perfect” picture but the ones that you can’t immediately view or edit truly capture the moment. This spring break is going to be what you make of it and if you do it up right, you’re going to want to capture every minute of it!
