Food Justice Coalition & the Community Garden

The Food Justice Coalition and the Community Garden have received a mini-grant from the National Catholic Sisters Week! If your interests fall under food, garden, and justice work you should definitely attend the Food Justice Coalition and the Community Garden event on Tuesday March 13, 2018! 

The program will be a seed starting party with the CSJ’s (Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet), and they’ll be talking about

  • food justice

  • food insecurity

  • how community garden’s can be a part of the solution 

Time: 5:00pm-8:00pm 

Where: CDC 2nd Floor Atrium

 

Andrea Duarte-Alonso is a grad from Saint Catherine University where she received her bachelor's of Art in Political Science, Women's Studies, and English. She founded HC STCU in order to include voices that are hardly ever represented in media. Andrea is a storyteller, writer, and a political enthusiast. Her areas of interest lie in writing (check her website storiesfromunheardvoices.com that was created for her community), traveling, and fighting for social justice issues.
