2017 was certainly a full year. I started the new year in Europe, went on a mission trip to Alaska, declared my major, competed as a college athlete, developed some great new relationships and cut some old ties. If a year like 2017 taught me anything, it was to live in the moment and never look back!Â
Â
However, the book for 2017 is closed and when I sat down to discover my goals for 2018, I realized I was tired of the boring: “lose 20 pounds”, “be kinder” and “take some extra me time” resolutions. Instead, Eleanor Roosevelt’s famous quote, “Do one thing every day that scares you”, inspired my New Year’s Resolution.Â
Â
“Every day I will find one thing that scares, challenges or makes me happy.” Adventure is any unusual, exciting, or daring experience. 2018 will be my year of adventure and I challenge all of you to do the same. To get you started, here is a list of 18 things that challenge, scare or make me happy. I hope you can find one or two of my ideas and make your 2018 a year full of adventure:Â
