HELP! Is it Christmas break yet?!

When all you want to do is lay cuddled up in your nice warm bed all day you know its time for a break. But there’s just one thing stopping you from getting to break… these last couple weeks. The never ending work and the sleepless nights are taunting you and only making you wish break would come sooner. Thanksgiving break just wasn’t enough, and the time until Christmas break feels like an eternity. We’re all losing our mojo and our drive to do things and stay on track so how do we fix that? Here’s a few ways to help you get through these last couple weeks, because we all know that we need the help.

Stay focused. It’s getting cold out, darker earlier, and too close to Christmas to care but staying focused is key. Finals are quickly approaching and although they’re dreadful, staying focused for these last couple weeks will help tremendously with getting through them.

-Make a list of fun things to do over break. Okay, maybe making a list will only make you want break to come sooner but it’ll give you some fun things to think of over these next couple of weeks.

And finally, the most important,

-Relax. Don’t stress over the end of the semester, and definitely don’t lose track of what you need to care about. You need to focus and care on schoolwork, but most importantly you need to focus and care about yourself. Don’t forget to relax a little each day so you aren’t too stressed out about everything. Too much stress is never a good thing.

The last couple weeks of the semester are always the hardest but making it through then gives you the best feeling. So buckle down and stay focused because before you know it you’ll be heading home for a month of no worries.

Hello there! I am the Campus Correspondent of the Her Campus chapter at Saint Vincent College. As a senior psychology major, I've made the most of my time in undergrad and am excited for all the doors I have opening ahead of me. I can definitely thank Her Campus for giving me invaluable skills. As a future psychologist, I hope that my articles (and the chapter's) are able to make you feel empowered, motivate you to start a conversation, and be kind. As a hero of mine has said, "If you do not take control over your time and your life, other people will gobble it up. If you don't prioritize yourself, you constantly start falling lower and lower on your list."- Michelle Obama. Be the change you want to see in the world, and smile. Always smile!
