Much to the chagrin of college students all over the east coast, Winter Storm Jonas hit with full force this past weekend. Boredom has set in and most of us were snowed in on campus, unable to move out of our parking spots. And to be honest, studying did seem like a great idea at first but who can resist a snow weekend? It is midweek and there is no sign of the snow going away so it’s a must that we spend as much time indoors as possible. Here are a few new ways to make sure that you have the best snow week ever, even without leaving the comfort of your dorm room.
Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime & Chill.
Let’s be honest- you can only really browse Netflix so many times without getting bored of the selection after you finish binge watching your favorite show (once or twice). Try getting your girls together and starting a new show; The Bachelor and The Biggest Loser are only a few episodes in so there’s plenty of time to catch up and stay up. And if starting something new really isn’t your speed, re-watch some of the best episodes from ghosts of binge watches past. It’s a great excuse to break out your favorite junk food and lounge around in pajamas all day!
Start an Online Workout Program
If lounging around all day really isn’t your speed, try breaking a sweat in the comfort of your dorm room? Blogilates, BeFit, & Tone It Up are some of my favorites. It’s a really great use of your time, and you don’t have to worry about bundling up to walk across campus!
Explore Old Pinterest Boards
You see DIY pins everywhere- how to have the perfect spa day with things you actually keep around, life hacks, and mug cake recipes. Explore old boards & pins and have a craft day without leaving the dorm. Better yet, get all of the girls together to work on projects- you won’t believe the random things everyone has in the dark depths of their desk drawers. Print out your favorite quotes and hang them up with Washi Tape for a DIY gallery wall that can be changed when you get bored!
