Cuffing season is officially cancelled. That’s right this year there is no pressure to get into relationships, or anything like that because according to the Queen Ariana Grande and her new self-empowerment song which we all have heard, “Thank u, Next.” To begin, however, there are some things that make it 100% better. So, grab your fuzziest socks, softest blankets, favorite ceramic coffee mug and fill it with your favorite teas and coffee flavors right next to the fireplace with you pets and voilà!

I declare that we celebrate this special time of year cozy season, and I am here to suggest some of the best psychological thriller, and suspense books so you can snuggle up with your dog or cat and just enjoy this stress-free season. While ghouls and blood thirsty creatures are certainly terrifying, the best reads and scare of all are those psychological thrillers that mess with your head and there’s no escaping your own mind.

  • Josie and Jack by Kelly Braffet

  • In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware

  • The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn

  • The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

  • The Lying Game by Ruth Ware

  • Stolen by Lucy Christopher

  • We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

  • Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

  • Sharp Objects by Jillian Flynn

  • The Cellar by Natasha Preston

  • The Passenger by Lisa Lutz

  • Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris

  • A Simple Favor by Darcy Bell

You can find descriptions for all of these books online, Goodreads is a great place for summaries and to find related novels!

If you have any suggestions for other awesome thrillers that I might have overlooked, make sure to comment below! I hoped this list helps as these are by far my favorite so far! Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. Happy not-cuffing season!
