Back in the Summer of 2018, if you would’ve told me I’d find the greatest group of best friends, I would look at you like you were lying. But, looking at where I am at now, I’m so happy to have met people that I click with.

Coming to college, it was a big change in my life. Leaving the comfort of my family’s arms, I ventured to a place unknown. I have always been very close with my family.  Even in grade school, when we traveled to Washington, D.C or Gettysburg, Pa, I still would get homesick. Even if it was only three days, it still was the worst because I was stuck missing my family. But, when I got to college, it was different. It was like I was at a super long slumber party with my best friends.

The first week, I met three of my best friends, David, Adam and Catherine. Never did I think that they would become so important to me. Next, I met Isabelle and Brooke. They’re all so funny, all I can think about when I think of them is Isabelle’s one saying, “Oh zip it!”, or moving Brooke’s stuff from one room to another. Lastly, I met Morgan: my literal twin. I’ve always known Caitlyn, she’s a friend from high school and we have always been close. Friends in high school last forever, but you lose contact with them as they’re moving on with their high school life as you’re moving on with your college life.

When it came to college football or hockey, I watched here and there. But, when I met Adam and David, they got me into hockey and college football. I’ve hung out with them, so we could watch the Pens game or the Pitt vs. Penn State Game. My roommate, Catherine, keeps me on track with studying, but sometimes when we are together we come up with the most random things. Just know when you put Catherine and I with Morgan, Isabelle, Brooke and Caitlyn that we are going to be SO loud. We’re probably going to be laughing and talking about how bad the Café food is.

Coming to college I never expected to find so many people that I would connect with on a multitude of different levels. I expected to meet people, but not some that I would click this well with. My college experience thus far has been wonderful as I am grateful for an amazing group of friends.
