Her Campus (HC): What is your favorite color?
Alexis Satterfield (AS): “Purple! I really do not know why, it has just always been my favorite.”
HC: What are your plans after graduation?
AS: “I graduate this upcoming May and I am very excited! I will begin an accounting job in Pittsburgh at a company called Sisterson and Co. LLP in June. I am hoping to begin the journey to getting my CPA and just focusing a lot on my career. I am very excited to see what opportunities become present after graduation! I am also very excited to have more time on the weekends to not be working at the mall. I want to get to spend more Sundays with my family and with my best friend Carly and her son (who calls me aunt), Isaiah.”
HC: Has it been challenging for you to graduate in three years?
AS: “No taking 150 credits in 3 years is fun! Yes, it has been challenging at times, however, I only did this because I did not feel rushed and I was ready for the challenge. I have been told numerous times, “Oh you are rushing the best years of your life” Blah, blah, blah. The way I see it, every part of my life has been incredible and just keeps getting better and better. I am a firm believer that some of the best days of my life have no happened just yet and I have so much to look forward to.”
HC: What is your favorite holiday?
AS: “Halloween! This past Halloween I celebrated Halloween like five days in a row! I had 5 different costumes. It was great. I got to be a future CPA, a mouse (duh), an angel, and Sandy from Grease. What other day (or week) of the year do you get to be someone else for the day?”
HC: What is your favorite hobby?
AS: “Netflix and chill? I’m kidding. My favorite hobby is shopping. Don’t tell me that is not a hobby. I excel at this hobby and I dare you to try and find someone who is a better shopper than me. Because you won’t.”
HC: You are the queen of getting deals while shopping, what is your trick?
AS: “The queen, I will gladly accept that title! My trick is you have to shop all the time. Deals are out there all the time. Don’t just go out on Black Friday (it is a gimmick anyway). You have to take the time and shop all the time. Retail therapy is real and I am its number one supporter.”
HC: What is your favorite store to shop in?
AS: “My favorite store is The Limited. Andee is one of the managers at the one in the Westmoreland Mall and we are best friends because I am in there so much.”
HC: Christina Yang or Meredith Grey?
AS: “I am dark and twisty and if you want to compliment me, compliment my brain! (I am Christiana Yang.) I am trying to rock the blonde hair right now but every morning I wake up with the urge to dye it dark. I love Dr. Grey but I definitely relate more to Dr. Yang.”
HC: What is your dream place to travel to?
AS: “Paris. I have the Eiffel Tower all over my room, on notebooks, read books about it, I have an umbrella with the Eiffel Tower on it. . . I have to make it there one day!”
HC: What would be your perfect date?
AS: “Hmm… one that I do not have to come up with a single detail for! You want to take me on a date? Figure it out and plan it. Please and thank you. I eat everything and I am pretty laid back . . . it is not too hard. Keep it simple.”
HC: Do you have any advice for underclassmen?
AS: “GET TO KNOW YOUR PROFESSORS! Seriously I am so thankful for my relationship with my professors. My advisor is one of my favorite people and I am so thankful I took the time to get to know him.”
HC: What do you look for in a guy?
AS: “I don’t look. My best relationship started (and ended) when I least expected it. Therefore, I decided to just let it be. I find focusing on myself and being a little selfish right now is a pretty good time but whatever happens, happens.”
HC: Why did you choose to join Her Campus St. Vincent?
AS: “I decided to join Her Campus because I find the creativity aspect to be fun and rewarding. I did not realize how much I loved writing until I got to college. I like that we can write about what we want and express ourselves. So thank you, Kaura, for bringing us the Saint Vincent Chapter.”
HC: What is your favorite vacation spot?
AS: “Well last summer I went to Mexico. I got to play with a monkey, swim with a dolphin, snorkel, cliff jump, and lie on the prettiest beach and drink piña coladas all day with my gorgeous Madre. It was the trip of a lifetime and I look forward to traveling a lot in the future.”
HC: What is your New Year’s resolution?
AS: “Well, my New Year’s resolution was to not put so much sugar in my coffee but I have a problem. I like cream and sugar and not really coffee so I have been trying and failing a lot at this New Year’s resolution.”
HC: Where can we most likely find you on campus?
AS: “Honestly, I don’t spend too much time on campus. I am mostly at the mall, either for work or retail therapy. If I am on campus, I am in class, at the gym, or spending quality time with my roommate.”
HC: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
AS: “I like to run. If I have free time, I either want to spend my time with my friends or go for a run to clear my head from all the responsibilities and “adulting” I should probably be doing.”
