I decided to do a little research this week in the fashion world. I looked at multiple brand names and their fall ready-to-wear collection and picked out some cute items. The only problem is the price! So to help all of us college students in need of cute but inexpensive clothes, I found similar items that come at an affordable price!
Gold Sweater

Although the Forever 21 version is missing a turtleneck, just about every detail remains! This sweater is absolutely perfect for fall weather and fashion. Pair it with some boyfriend jeans and white sneakers and you have the perfect outfit for a day out.
Black Dress with White Collar

Hot Topic – $34.50
This dress is a classic, so you will see it in designer brands all the way to Hot Topic. I haven’t shopped there in ages, but by the looks and price of this dress, I definitely need to give it a second chance! For a night out, pair the dress with heels. Otherwise, a cute bootie could complete your look.
Velvet Pleated Skirt

A velvet pleated skitrt is a hot trend this season. Velvet is back in style and the perfect way to wear it is with a skirt. The pleats make the skirt fall in a flattering way and the fabric is so comfortable. This skirt will even transition well into the winter seasons.
Teddy Bear T-shirt

If you are into the outrageous graphic look, Moschino is your perfect style guide. Although a t-shirt can cost $320, it is easy to find similar looks for cheap. Search a store’s graphic tee section and see what you can find. Every print is unique and quirky, so look for one that works for you.
Now we’ve seen some brand name styles and have fallen in love with the looks, but not the price. Luckily, there are alternative options than spending your savings account. Take the item that inspires you and simply do some reasearch! It doesn’t take long and you will find a more affordable piece that you adore. Good luck searching, ladies.
