1. Bats, Bones and Bonfires– Oct. 26, 4-8pm, River Bend Nature Center, Faribault
Find your inner kid again at this Halloween festival featuring a bouncy house, face painting, local food vendors and games galore. Cost: $5/person
2. Halloween Party– Oct. 26, 7pm-close, Carbone’s Pizza, Northfield
Dance the night away to the music of DJ Matty Matt and compete in the costume contest for cash prizes. The grand prize is $100!
3. Get Lost in a Corn Maze– Applewood Orchard, Lakeville, Open 9-6pm Mon-Sat, 12-6pm Sun
Gather a group of friends and divide yourselves into teams- whoever can make it through the 10 acre corn maze first wins! Cost: $7/person
4. Trick-or-Treating in Residence Halls– Oct. 31, 4:30-6pm
Stock up your room with candy, dress up in your most festive attire and hand out treats to your professors’ children as they go door-to-door in your dorm! Just make sure to sign up at the front desk of your residence hall by noon on Wednesday, Oct. 30th.
5. Take the Movie Bus to See a Scary Movie– Oct. 26, bus leaves at 8:30pm
Nothing says Halloween like watching a creepy movie! I recommend checking out Carrie and Insidious Chapter 2 for maximum scare potential. Cost: $5/person
6. Halloween Pause Dance– Oct. 26, 10pm
Don your most clever ensemble and hit up the Pause for a night of dancing and guessing what other people are supposed to be dressed as. Glowsticks are provided.
7. Insane Ellsyum– Oct. 31, 8-10pm, Ellingson Hall
If you’re feeling brave, check out the Insane Ellsyum- otherwise known as Ellingson-turned-Haunted House.
