Today, I’m going to share with you my (almost) everyday morning routine. I do wake up at slightly different times depending on the day; however, the gist of my morning is all the same. I don’t really do anything fancy, it’s just a simple routine that I’ve been doing for most of the school year. It’s routine that I find the most relaxing and the best way for me to prepare for the day.

8:00 a.m.- This is the typical time that I wake up on most days. I wake up to my alarm or wake up naturally at this and usually go on my phone for 10-20 minutes. I check the weather, my emails, and scroll through my social media. I also sometimes read a chapter of a book if I have time. Since the weather has been nice and the sun is always out, I love to open my windows and blinds to get some fresh air and sunlight.

8:30 a.m.- At this time, I usually try to do some simple stretches and workouts on my yoga mat for 30 minutes. During this time, I also like to mediate for a bit. This helps me mentally prepare for what the day has in store.

9:00 a.m.- This is when I start getting ready for the day. I would brush my teeth and take a quick shower.

9:20 a.m.- I change into my outfit for the day and quickly wash and moisturize my face. I normally don’t wear makeup everyday but if I do, it’s just a coat of mascara.

9:45 a.m.- I try to get breakfast everyday and this is time I go to the caf to start off my morning right. My usual breakfast plate consists of hashbrowns, a pancake or waffle, a little bit of bacon, and some fruit. I also try to drink lots of water in the morning as well.

10:45 a.m.- This is the start of my first class. I end classes on most days at 2:00 p.m.

As you can see, I’m a pretty relaxed when it comes to my mornings. I like things to be easy, simple, and productive when I start off my day and that has resulted in this routine.
