Mmm Ya Ya: H’s Best Sexytime Playlist, You’re Welcome

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Olaf chapter.

If you like to spend your time procrastinating on Twitter, you may have noticed a new hashtag that has been trending lately: #BestSongsToHaveSexTo. Although it seems as though the tag has mostly been taken over by trolls and middle school kids, I thought that I could share a few of my (and my friend’s) favorite songs to get down and dirty to. All of the songs have been sexiness-approved, so get downloading and make yourself a playlist that will get and keep you in the mood!

*Disclaimer: Not all of these songs are necessarily going to set the mood for all sex- some are going to be better for romantic, lovey sex, whereas others might be better for rough, fun, weekend night sex. Enjoy!

Pusher Love Girl, Justin Timberlake, The 20/20 Experience: JT’s entire new album is pretty damn sexy, but this is my favorite song from it. Perfect for any and all sexytimes, even solo!

Motivation, Kelly Rowland ft. Lil’ Wayne, Here I am: This song is a little slower, but is still crazy sexual. It would be great for a sexy night that you want to last all night.

Smells Like Teen Spirit, Nirvana, Nevermind: Nirvana may not be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to mood music; however, after listening to this song for a bit, my girlfriend’s and I decided that it make be just the right song for some rough, fun, no inhibitions sex.

Stronger, Kanye West, Graduation: Like Smells Like Team Spirit, this song might not be the best for every sexy situation, but it has the right beat and pace to be a great choice for a night of sexiness if it fits your style!

White Walls, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, The Heist: Macklemore’s pretty sexy all-around, and this song showcases his sexiness in a perfectly sexy package. Let the chorus just set that mood for you, just sink into the beat…

Unthinkable (I’m Ready), Alicia Keys, The Element of Freedom: This song was written for slow, sexy sex, I think. It’s the type of song that just makes you want to have someone kiss every inch of your body.

Naked, Marques Housten, Naked: This song is a perfect companion to Alicia Keys’ Unthinkable. It is smooth, slow, and has sexy lyrics to go with its sexy beat.

Born to Die, Lana Del Rey, Born to Die: Lana’s deep, smooth vocals carry this song into the bedroom. Like the previous two, it might be better suited to a romantic night in than a crazy night out, but it is worthwhile on any playlist, sexy or otherwise.

Taro, Alt J, An Awesome Wave: I was just introduced to this song by a friend. This song, with its Indian and other ethnic influences, has quickly become one of my favorites. The sensations I get just from listening to it are unreal- it takes a really great song to actually make you feel, and this song does it, while being smooth and subtle enough to not be distracting. Beautiful.

Also, feel free to add this gem. But only for Wednesdays.

Stay sexy, St. Olaf!
