Life Changing Moment: “In high school I was pretty immature and somewhat of a trouble maker. I never really made individual choices for myself and was driven off of others and what they would think of me. As a senior in high school I had no clue or direction really on where or what I wanted to do after high school. All my friends were going off to state schools and talking about the great memories ahead but I knew for myself I would be throwing away money and be unsuccessful if I went off right away. I knew one thing though, I have a wide background in volunteering and working with individuals from poverty backgrounds or special needs. I took two years off really figuring out who I was as a person and maturing into an adult. I decided one afternoon to apply to St. Olaf College because I had nothing to lose and really wanted to prove to myself and others I was private school material. Today, I absolutely love St. Olaf. I can be who I really am and am enjoying every moment. It just feels right. It feels like home.”

What did you want to be as a kid? “Can it be what I want to be now? A stay at home dad.”

Favorite food to binge on? “Um…I’m gonna go with gyros. I love gyros with Tzatziki sauce.”

How often do you go to the gym? “To work out? Wrestling practice is five times a week. I try to get somewhat of a workout 6 days. I am pretty modest and self conscious to admit that I am ripped.”

Where would you take a girl on a first date? How much would you be willing to spend? “First date…i don’t like the cliche dinner and a movie. Somewhere fun to sporting event like a Twins or Wild game. Maybe even the mall since it’s casual. I don’t like the awkward one on one..if it’s awkward. I think the guy should pay for everything and pick her up. I’m kind of old fashioned with that. Probably, I don’t know, 50 bucks!”

What is your favorite movie? “Aww man. I really like comedy movies. Anything like the Scary Movies, American Pie, all the college humor. Old School, Stepbrothers.”

Best stress reliever? “I never get stressed. I am always happy, smiling. I’m never stressed out.”

If you could eat three things for the rest of your life what would they be? “I’d probably go with chicken..I don’t want to kill animals. I love animals, but I love chicken, french fries, and yogurt.”

Justin Bieber: “What about him? He’s dating whoever. I don’t know everyone loves Bieber so all the credit to him!”

Favorite kind of music/artist: “I really like anything on the radio. I like every style. I like The Limestones from St. Olaf to be honest, the local band.”

What is your style? “Style for? Oh clothes! I just like casual. I don’t really mind what I look like. Dressing up is nice. It’s good to look nice.”

What is your favorite girl style? “Let’s see, I like whatever they feel is right. Too much make-up and too fancy means they are more into the image. It seems like everyone wears Ugg boots around here. So maybe switch that up a little.”

Preferred cologne? “If I wear cologne, it’ll be Chrome Azzaro.”

Who wins the fight? Spiderman, Batman or Superman? “Obviously Superman. I’m going to change my answer. I am going to say Apoorva wins the fight and she better win DCC.”

Thoughts on snow? “Well we live in Minnesota so even if I complain it won’t go away. Snow is just part of the weather.”

Craziest thing you’ve ever done? “Every weekend is a new experience here at Olaf. I was shocked by the Legion and the Pause dances. The hockey game with Carleton was pretty sweet. I hope that happens next year too. I give props to the guy who jumped over the ice.”

If you like a girl, how would you introduce yourself? “I’m kind of shy. But, I’d have to go up to her and talk to her and break the ice, otherwise it’ll be awkward forever.”
