Who is your favorite rapper and why? “Outkast. I know it’s a rapping duo but I consider it a crime to separate Andre 3000 from Big Boi. I do like the fact that they are both super fly and can rap about things other than gettin f—-d up in the club. Not that that’s inherently bad, it’s just pretty boring to listen to that same crap on the radio all day.”

Favorite Caf creation: “Three bowls of vegetables stir-fried in the make-your-own-pasta line with no pasta. If the chicken that day isn’t dry as h—, put a little bit of that on there, with some oil and seeds from the salad bar, and you have yourself the greatest tasting, healthiest meal ever!”

Favorite Pick-Up Line: “I can show you the world; Shining, shimmering, splendid…”

Guilty Pleasure: “Listening to T-Swift and Colbie Callait. Since most of my housemates listen exclusively to metal, electro and dubstep, the fact that I would have the audacity to blast “Love Story” when no one’s around instead of August Burns Red is a pretty big deal.”

Ideal Date: “Ha, you’d think I’d have considered this question more than I have…Probably go on some super low-key dinner date first, as opposed to a super romantic, expensive restaurant. They have their place, but not when I’m getting to know someone. I’d definitely want my personality shine through at the Caf or something chill as opposed to putting up some facade of elegance or showiness at Capital Grill. Then afterward, we could just go for a walk or drive somewhere and get to know each other. Where we go isn’t all that critical. Then I’d walk her home drop her off and give her a kiss goodnight.:

If you could get a date with any female celebrity, who would it be and why?  “Rachel McAdams.  Have you SEEN her in Wedding Crashers? Beautiful! It’s just that she’s obviously good looking and I think she gives off an inner beauty without the sluttiness vibe. You know, that same vibe that’s completely nonexistent in Ke$ha.”

3 Things you can’t live without: “CrossFit, goals and macronutrients.”

Dream job: “I’d like to be a top executive or CEO of some really awesome company that does something in the way of preventative health care or sustainable environment. I dunno…Something where I make a big difference making earth and the people on it just kick-a– at life.”

Hobbies

  • Listening to metal while CrossFitting
  • Since I’ve been a bit sick for the last couple months, coaching friends who want to get more fit
  • Making bank selling Cutco knives, seriously!
  • Trying (and failing) to imitate my roommate’s ridiculously awesome guitar skills
  • Nerding it up on Wikipedia or reading something super interesting
  • Chilling with friends

What is your favorite season and why? “Hmm, probably either early fall or late spring. I know Green Day would disagree with me, but I can’t wait for September cuz school kicks a–, and it’s a time when people haven’t let stress destroy their excitement yet, plus it’s still t-shirt weather. Late spring pretty much for the same reason; as opposed to winter, people get more positive when they can legitimately wage war against their Minnesota paleness. Plus, Lutefest is awesome and I’m playing in it this year (Techno Kitten Adventure Band)!”

Biggest turn on: “Athleticism. Generally, I think athletic girls value health, discipline and are extremely attractive, too. I’m not talking about the standing-on-the-elliptical-texting-and-reading-cosmo type of athleticism, but someone who really does work. I can totally respect any girl who’s really willing to go after something with commitment–that’s why I have crushes on about half the girl’s track team.”

Pet peeves:  “I don’t know whether or not you’d call this a pet peeve, I do get annoyed with people who go through the motions of life. It’s unfortunate how many people really have never truly thought about what they want to get out of life, and if they have, their actions and lifestyles don’t reflect it at all. Find something to get passionate about, and go for it.”

How he feels about the snow: “Well, if I didn’t like snow, this would be a very crappy place to live.  Winter’s not winter unless there’s snow, and I love it until it gets grimy in March. Plus, if it’s snowing, it means it’s NOT 30 below!”

Ideal vacation destination: “I’m not the hugest fan of vacationing since I don’t really get all that much out of just being a tourist, and not truly experiencing it for a longer period of time. If we’re talking romantic vacation, anywhere in the Caribbean. Some place with sun and waves and a special someone–the company’s more important than the destination. If we’re talking non-romantic vacation, maybe Japan. The history there is awesome and I’m a huge fan of the culture.”

Last song he listened to on his Ipod: “Eric Johnson, ‘Cliffs of Dover.’”

Favorite board game: “Monopoly. The original is the greatest. It actually takes skill when I win, and of course it’s just based on luck when I lose. To me, theres enough of both to justify it either way.”

Best scent a girl can wear: “Oh god, I literally have no idea. Honestly, the only scent I know is ‘Fantasy’ from Britney Spears since my younger sister asked for some year. Whatever it is, hopefully it’s not overpowering enough to make my eyes water.”

What do you want Ole women to know about you? “A lot, really. If you talk to me, you’ll realize that I’m generally very open about things. I’ll tell you that my values are self-improvement, health, genuine kindness and an enthusiasm for life. I’m looking for someone who has those same qualities. I’m not into random hookups, only something truly meaningful. I can be shy and awkward or I can be ridiculously random and outgoing, it just depends on the setting. There are a lot of great girls on this campus, but I am looking for someone special, and I hope I find her. If you see me, just say hi.”
