Name: Chris Lazo
Year: 2014
Relationship Status: Single and Ready to Mingle
Birthday: Friday March 13, 1992
Major: Political Science, maybe Religion

What do you love about Ole women? “They’re intelligent, kind, and well rounded. Oh, and they’re really pretty.”

Hobbies? “I’m obsessed with sports, so naturally I love to play fantasy sports. I watch at least part of almost every Lakers game (I’m from the Los Angeles area). Besides sports, I also love to sing. And I’m maybe a little bit obsessed with TV shows. Netflix & Hulu Plus are quite addictive!”

Activities you are involved in? “Cantorei Singers, The Pause, and Democrat’s Club.”

Call or text? “Text. I find that I’m better at expressing myself through writing. Plus, you can’t proofread a phone call!”

What is the most romantic thing you have done for a girl? “Well, I don’t really have too much dating experience, so I haven’t done many romantic things. I waited for a girl after her class once to give her flowers and ask her out on a date. I’m sure though that if things ever got serious with a girl, I would pull out all the stops.”

What is your favorite place to study? “Probably in the Pause, though it’s a tad distracting since there are always a million people there.”

Favorite food? “I LOVE cheese. So pretty much anything with lots of cheese. You can usually find me at the pasta line in the Caf.”

Favorite movie? “Without a doubt, Love Actually. No shame.”

Any secret or hidden talents? “I am excellent at building gigantic ice cream towers from the soft serve machine at the Pause-especially with cones. Stop by when I’m working and see it in action!”

Finish this sentence: A girl looks her best when… “she isn’t trying too hard to look good.”

Describe yourself in one word. “Eclectic.”

What are you most excited about right now in your life? “This summer I will be working for my church at home in the same job I had last summer, as an intern for the Jr. High department. We’re a pretty big church with about 100 junior high students attending weekly during the school year, so I get the opportunity to reach out to a ton of different students. I think I might be called to do youth ministry as my profession, so I’ll see how I feel after the summer!”

Pet peeves? “I HATE bad grammar. I always correct people’s grammar in my head. I guess it comes from having two lawyers as parents.”

What is your ideal date? “I’m sort of a gooey romantic, so something casual isn’t ideal. I’d love to take a girl out to lunch, then go for a walk somewhere pretty, then go back home and cuddle while watching a romantic comedy.”

What he wants Ole women to know: “Yes, there are a lot of pale, blonde guys here at St. Olaf. But take a chance on a brunette, or someone with darker skin! I’m half Cuban, and there are plenty of other ethnic guys here-give us a shot!”

Best pick up line? “How much does a polar bear weigh? Enough to break the ice.”

If you were a superhero, what would your superhero name and power be? “I would be Harry Potter. And my powers would be that I’m a wizard, duh.”
