Relationship status: single and ready to mingle
Year: Sophomore
Hometown: Hoosick Falls, New York

Okay, okay, ladies. While Ben Taylor wasn’t our FIRST week’s Campus Cutie (much to his dismay), he is still worthy of being featured. Why, you might ask? Read on to find out.

Majors: “Environmental Studies & Sociology/Anthropology.”

Favorite movies: “Blood Diamond, Lions for Lambs, Fly Boys, the Borne Identity Trilogy.”

Biggest pet peeve: people with a bad sense of humor

Dream Vacation: “Going somewhere really remote and just exploring…..like scuba diving in limestone caves, mountain climbing in Tierra del Fuego. Basically just doing the kinda stuff most poeple don’t ever get to do in their lives.”

What he does in his free time: Hangs out with friends, plays rugby, climbs (the rockwall at Skog but he plans to climb “actual stuff”), journalism.

Thoughts on playing hard to get: “I decide on a case by case basis.”

Do you believe in soul-mates? “Sure, why not.”

Three things he can’t live without: “Friends, interesting stuff to do and excitement/adrenaline rushes.”

Adrenaline rushes..what? “Adrenaline and sports, they’re kinda one and the same. When I’m in a game, something happens good or bad. I get adrenaline before every rugby game, which is part of the reason why I love that game so much. Whenever I’m gonna do something that I think is gonna be challenging or a big deal, I like the adrenaline that comes with the nerves.”

Last song he listened to: “Helicopter” by Bloc Party

Most confusing thing about girls: “Why can’t we [males] ever be right?”

Favorite food: freshly baked bread

His most unique quality: At first, he said, “I don’t know if I really have anything that’s unique.” Later on, he revealed, “I think that I’m a really good friend and that I try to be there for my friends if they need help with anything.”

Hottest outfit a girl can wear: “Every girl is unique.”

Favorite season: “Spring.”

Do you drink coffee?/What kind?: “Occasionally when I have a big paper due the next day. Straight up black.”

Favorite Thanksgiving food: “The pies, mostly apple pie or mixed berry pie.”

City or country: “Country within driving distance of city.”
