Why I Love Her Campus Media

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

I have been a part of Her Campus St. Law U since the Spring of my Freshman Year at St. Lawrence. I was introduced to HC Media during my college application process and, when I realized that St. Lawrence had its own chapter, I was eager to be a part of it. Little did I know that I would be so involved that I would later become the Campus Correspondent of our chapter.

Here are just a few reasons why I love Her Campus so much!:

I Discovered a Passion for Writing

I never considered myself to be a writer, but being a part of Her Campus has introduced me to a whole new outlet to share ideas and improve my writing in ways that I didn’t anticipate.

I have met so many great, inspiring people.

I was brought into Her Campus St. Law U by Colby Hoffman who was our Campus Correspondent during my Freshman year and I have met really incredible Laurentians because of that first day I walked into Carnegie Hall for the team meeting.

I Discovered a Passion for Social Media / Marketing.

One aspect of being a part of our team is that each team member is responsible for posting on each of our three social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) in order to publicize our chapter and also our most recent articles.

Seasonal Freebies/Products

One perk of being a part of Her Campus includes receiving Survival Kits which are distributed seasonally to Campus Correspondents. Each kit contains test products for our members to try and for the Campus Correspondent to write a Survival Guide article about.

Our HC Headquarters Campus Representative

Although my status of being the Campus Correspondent is fairly new,  I have had the opportunity to meet our Chapter Representative and she has been such a great help in the transitioning process and in general as I take on this new and fun role.

If you have any questions about joining Her Campus at St. Lawrence, be sure to reach out to the current campus correspondent or DM us on our IG, Twitter or Facebook!
