What It’s Like To Grow Up As The Youngest Sibling

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I wonder what it would be like to be an only child?” If your answer to this was yes then you most definitely are not alone. Growing up as the youngest sibling has been quite an interesting experience for me. I have three older siblings (all brothers) who are 23, 38, and 40 years old. Having an age gap of twenty years between me and my oldest sibling has definitely influenced me in ways I never would have expected — it has made me more mature, more well-rounded, and has given me a lot of insight into the future. But being the youngest sibling can also have so many fun benefits! Here are a few things that I have learned from being the youngest sibling that hopefully is relatable for any baby siblings out there!

1. Don’t lie to your parents…they’ll find out 100% of the time!
