5 Ways to Take Advantage of the North Country’s Spring Tease

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

I know what you may be thinking: “Hooray! It’s almost March and the weather has been approaching sixty degrees for three days in a row.” Blue skies and warm breezes are inspiring everyone to get outside and enjoy the weather because we all know, deep down, that it won’t last long- at least not for now. That is simply all the more reason to make the most of it in the meantime! Here are some ideas on how to take advantage of the sunnier weather in the North Country: Get active! – Be it running, walking, or playing a pickup game in the sport of your choice, the warm weather is the perfect invitation to get moving.

Do those errands – warm temperatures mean that a quick walk to Rite Aid or even to Price Chopper could not only be productive, but also maybe even a little enjoyable. Ask a friend or two to tag along and use it as a time to catch up with each other.

Study outside – Whether you prefer setting up a hammock, laying out a blanket, or spreading out at a table, studying outside is a great way to keep up with school work while also enjoying the outdoors and liveliness on campus.

Go for a hike – For some, nice weather means it’s time for an adventure. If the mud doesn’t scare you away, the nearby mountain peaks are another fun way to enjoy the warmth and sunny skies while they last!

Rediscover your wardrobe – It may just be a tease, but the early spring weather is the perfect chance to ditch those boots and heavy layers and throw on your favorite sneakers and light outerwear instead. Trade in those dark colors for some brighter ones too, and don’t be afraid to leave your jacket behind on extra warm afternoons!
