Have you ever wanted to ask women of color about their braids, afro, weave, etc. but are nervous to ask? WELL, I’ve asked my girlfriends of color about the questions they have gotten and here are their serious (and sassy) responses:

1. Do you wash it?

“Do you shower?” -Robin Aisha ‘18

2. How long does that take?

“As long as it has to take me. It just has to get done.” -Kylah Holmes ‘19

3. Is that YOUR hair?

“I didn’t grow it but I paid for it so it’s mine.” -Shanice Arlow ‘20

4. Can you take it off?

“Yes, but that doesn’t make it any less my hair.”   -Robin Aisha ‘18

5. Can I touch it?

“Nah, I’m good.” -Star Moreno ‘19

“No, thank you.” -Robin Aisha ‘18
