What I’m Thankful for This Year

Life moves so fast that it’s easy to look past the people who have been there for me. The people who quietly and sometimes loudly hold my family together. Lastly, I have been reflecting on how blessed I really am and my heart keeps circling back to gratitude to the people who have supported me, shaped me and stood by me in every season of my life.

I am grateful to have God. In times where I had no one physically I knew I wasn’t alone. I always had someone to talk to. I wouldn’t know who I am without God in my life to help guide me through life and difficult moments where I didn’t know the situation. He has blessed me with an amazing life. I am forever grateful and thankful I have God in my life to shape who I am as a person.

Next, my sweet and wonderful boyfriend who has always been there for me whenever I need someone to talk to. He always takes care of me day in and day out. He always makes me laugh and smile even the times I didn’t feel like it,  he knew how to change my mood within seconds. When I talk to him my heart lights up with a million fireworks and happiness each second. He supports my dreams and decisions. I continue to make each step of my life and I’m forever grateful for him.

Then my parents, especially my mom. She has been my strength long before I learned how to build my own. My mom has this incredible ability to hold everything together even when life throws many obstacles in her path. Her love isn’t just spoken, it’s shown through every sacrifice, every piece of advice, every protection and every time she puts others before herself. I wouldn’t be me without her. She was truly my role model. She taught me resilience, kindness and how to keep going when things feel impossible.

I’m very grateful for my brother as well. Even though we make fun of each other and fight. Anytime I needed to call him or needed him he always came even when he didn’t want to. He took care of me a lot. Even though I thank him a lot I’m glad I have a brother.

Finally, I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me along my journey, my friends and family members and people who have shown kindness to me during difficult times. Their support and encouragement has pushed me to become a better person and reminded me that I never walk alone. Support doesn’t always have to be big gestures, small things always count.

I love going to new places and exploring the outdoors. Going out with my friends having a fun time.
