Here are 5 girl power anthems you can belt out with your girls!

1. Man I Feel like a Woman! by Shania Twain

This song is so powerful and fun! Shania’s lyrics promote having fun with your girlfriends and not caring about the expectations of being a woman.

Favorite lyrics: “We don’t need romance, we only wanna dance, we’re gonna let our hair hang down”

2. Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce

This song is pretty self-explanatory. Who run the world? Girls.

Favorite lyrics: “This goes out to all the women getting it in, you on your grind, to all the men that respect what I do, please accept my shine”

3. Girls Just Want to Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper

This song is a timeless gem. Although it was written in 1983, it still is relatable to current-day women.

Favorite lyrics: “I wanna be the one to walk in the sun, oh girls, they wanna have fun”

4. Respect by Aretha Franklin

Respect is probably one of the main things girls want. Contrary to popular belief, it is actually pretty easy for people to be respectful. Aretha Franklin makes it pretty clear that just a little bit of respect will be appreciated by all women.

Favorite lyrics: “R-E-S-P-E-C-T, find out what it means to me

R-E-S-P-E-C-T, take care, TCB” (classic)

5. Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys beautifully describes the power of a woman in her iconic song, “Girl on Fire”. You cannot not sing along to this song when it comes on… especially with the chorus.

Favorite lyrics: “Everybody stares as she goes by, cause they can see the flame that’s in her eyes, watch her as she’s lighting up the night”
