Music

Laptop

Earphones

Baseball hats

Is there anyone that inspires/ influences you or your music?

Everybody, all my songs are inspired by my personal life and experiences. As far as established people that inspire me I’d have to say Dom Kennedy and J.Cole definitely because of their ability to relate to the listener so well.

If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be?

Syd tha Kyd from The Internet, we’d cook something serious.

When did you realize you wanted to really pursue music?

When I was 11, in 2006 Jim Jones dropped “We Fly High” and I was amazed that a song could make so many people happy and energetic. So basically I wrote my own version of the song and went around making people listen to me rap it.. Thus the start of Scotty Brown.

What’s your favorite track from Gold Tape? And why.

It’s so hard to choose, it’s like trying to pick my best memory since all these songs are inspired by my experience in life. If I had to choose one though it would probably be “One Day”, just because the message is so relatable. Think about it, how many times do we see something we can’t afford or is just not available to us yet and we tell ourselves “One Day” it’ll be ours. “One Day” is that moment in a song.

Are you working on anything new?

Actually I am, I just finished some new music to be released very soon. Right now we’re just getting everything together, it’s all about presentation.

Top 2 favorite artists?

Kanye West

Dom Kennedy

Do you think living in New York has influenced you?

Definitely, living in NY has heavily influenced me in a lot of ways. There’s a grind about NY that is so inspiring, if you’re not trying to advance in New York you’re really just in the way.

What are your thoughts on The Life of Pablo?

Amazing work of art. Kanye’s a genius. #2020
