When I sat down to actually think about what a day in my life looks like, I couldn’t possibly come up with only 1 routine. I realized that I honestly have 2 routines that make up what I do in a day. With that being said, I’d like to share both my “idealistic” routine and my “realistic” routine. I’m sure you’ll be able to spot the difference. (please don’t judge me)

Let’s start with the idealistic!

8:30-10:30am

  • Early morning routine (devotions, stretching, quick social media check, skincare, brush teeth)
  • Eat breakfast (healthy of course!), take vitamins, get some fresh air
  • Get dressed

10:30am-1:00pm

  • Work time (all unfinished homework or work from the night before)
  • Lunch (also healthy!)

1:00-4:00pm

  • School (Webex, discussion posts, homework, etc.)

4:00-5:00pm

  • Work around the house (cleaning my room, cleaning the house, working on projects around the house)

5:00-5:30pm

  • Workout
  • Evening devotion

5:30-6:00pm

  • Nighttime Routine (shower, skincare)

6:00-6:30pm

  • Dinner (tbh not always healthy, but hey I don’t cook!)

6:30- 8:00pm

  • Unwinding (practicing guitar, reading, going on a walk, coloring, listening to music)

8:00-9:00pm

  • Face-timing friends and family

9:00pm

  • Finally allowing myself to watch TV, movies, YouTube videos, etc.

12:00am

  • Time for bed! (asleep by 1:00am at the latest)

Now for what happens 90% of the time (once again, judgement FREE zone)

12:00pm

  •  Waking up on the couch, realizing I slept through all 8 of my alarms, and waking up in a panic because I have class
  • Do my skincare as quickly as possible while also simultaneously stuffing some type of food down my throat
  • Try to find the area in my house with the worst lighting so no one can see what I actually look like on camera

12:00-4:00pm

  • School time! (mostly in my unmade bed with plenty of snacks nearby)

4:00-4:30pm

  • Lunch (i guess?)

4:30-5:00pm

  • Forcing myself to get up and workout (not going nearly as hard as I should be and probably doing half of the exercises wrong)

5:00-5:30pm

  • Nighttime routine, shower (the lazy version)

5:30-7:00pm

  • Nap time!

7:00pm

  • Seeing what I can eat for dinner (probably leftovers because I missed dinner during my nap)

7:00-10:00pm

  • Sitting on my phone. Literally. (I have fallen down the hole of old dance mom clips on youtube)

10:00pm-12:30am

  • Sitting on face-time with my friends

12:30am

  • Realizing I have homework to do

12:30-2:30am

  • Doing the procrastinated homework

2:30am

  • “Bedtime” (probably falling asleep on the couch while old lifetime movies and infomercials play in the background)
