5 Movies Worth Bingeing

 With summer comes binge watching, and with binge watching comes good and bad shows, documentaries, and movies. Why not save yourself some time and watch these pre approved films.

 

1. If you want a mind fuck – Donnie Darko

Donnie Darko, a troubled teen escapes death when a plane engine falls from the sky into his room because he followed a giant bunny out of his house. The bunny, Frank, tells him that the world is going to end in 28 days and there launches Donnie’s confusion with space and time and his impending doom.

 

2. If you’re into Ben Affleck – Armageddon

People discover that an asteroid the size of Texas is headed for earth, that will obliterate the entire planet and all of its inhabitants in 18 days.  NASA has no choice but to send a team of deep core drillers into space to blow up the asteroid from inside out.

 

3. If you want to watch a classic – The Breakfast Club

Five students with different personalities meet for Saturday detention, in their own terms, Claire is a princess, Andrew an athlete, John a criminal, Brian a brain, and Allison a basket case. Throughout the course of their time together they find that they have more in common than originally thought.

 

4. If you want a Disney Princess Movie – Moana

Moana is a girl fascinated by the sea and the daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. When her islands fishermen can’t catch any fish and the crops fail, she learns that this is because the demigod Maui stole the heart of the goddess Te Fiti. The only way to save the island is to persuade Maui into returning Te Fiti’s heart.

 

5. If you want a thriller- Hush

A deaf writer who retreated to a solitary home in the woods finds herself with stuck when a masked murderer appears at her window. After he cuts her powerlines she is stuck without a phone and without the advantage of sound as she fights for her life.

 

With a bowl of popcorn and a blanket, these films are an exciting way to spend a summer night alone or with friends.
