The weather is finally getting nicer, well, it was last week, and spring is in the air. Whether it is with your girls or your partner, a cute date makes this season all the better. As someone who prides herself on Pinterest worthy dates with her boyfriend, here are four ways to take advantage of the sunshine.
The Picnic and Paint:
A classic for a reason. A picnic is all the more cute when you sprinkle it with artistic flair. My choice is always painting, but the limits are endless. Bedazzle a digi cam, make jewelry, embroidery, or even do henna. It’s the perfect way to feel cute while making something even cuter.
Flower festivals:
This is the season of blooming. For me, this means the Meriden Daffodil Festival back home. For you, this could be the Macy’s Flower show from April 23rd to May 10th or the New York Botanical Garden’s yearly Orchid Show. Put on some matching outfits and head to one of these fab events. I’ll look forward to seeing it on your Insta stories.
Zoos and Aquariums:
A childhood staple that is definitely following into my adulthood and I’m not mad about it. They are everywhere and always the best. The Central Park Zoo is a classic for a warm day. You will certainly be seeing this one on my story soon.
Baseball Season:
The season is officially upon us. I’ve already seen a few of my Insta baddies at the stadium, but if you haven’t, now is your chance. Whether you’re rooting for the Mets or the Yankees, it doesn’t really matter; what does is that the vibes are good, the breeze is warm and the outfits are cute.Â
Everything by the Beach:
This warm weather makes the beach all the better. Even if it’s still too chilly to dive in, just being near the water is instant dopamine. Dinner, coffee date or long walk on the sand, automatically everything feels more romantic. The best part? You don’t have to deal with the crowds that take over as soon as June hits. So, whether it’s the LIRR or your car that takes you there, get some nature time that isn’t just the Great Lawn.
This is my little guide to keeping your spring days filled with love and less focused on post-finals burnout. Keep your heads up, beauties and ensure our relationships make you feel as vibrant as the daffodils on campus.
