A Skin Care Dream: Sweet Chef Skincare

The opinions expressed in this article are the writer’s own and do not reflect the views of Her Campus.
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. John's chapter.

Recently, Her Campus chapters had the awesome opportunity to get Sweet Chef Skincare products sent to their chapter. Here is my review for these natural, skin pampering, environmentally friendly products that I had the chance to try!

I’m really impressed with the way Sweet Chef Skincare makes my skin feel clean, bright, and glowing after just two weeks of use. However, it was their commitment to healthy, holistic skin care and sustainability that piqued my attention the most. Sweet Chef makes sure that the amazing aspects of Korean beauty makes its way to the homes of individuals all around the world. Cruelty-free skin care that is vegan and “Leaping Bunny” certified is a terrific way to receive that at-home spa treatment without all of the harsh chemicals. Their developed logo of carrots struck me as both aesthetically pleasing and on brand. How adorable is it that not only my body, but also my skin, is consuming nutritious fruits and vegetables thanks to the cleanliness of fresh vegan products?

I tried the Carrot Ginger + Salicylic Acid Pore Cleanser as well as the Carrot Ginger Blemish Rescue Patches. The cleanser comes in a 5fl oz dispenser and is a mild foamy cleanser for blemish-prone skin. Simple to use and ready to cleanse, all you need is one to two pumps on your palms and a minute of gentle application to your skin before patting dry, and you’re set for the day! The rescue patches come in a lovely variety set of 36 patches, including six big, twelve medium, nine tiny, and nine extra small patches. I liked the notion of being able to effectively hide an outbreak based on the sizes. With simple instructions, all you have to do is apply the patch to clean skin for at least six hours.

With so many different types of skincare products on the market, it felt great to have confidence in items that not only cared about my skin, but also about the environment. When it comes to how we dispose of our skincare after use, sustainability is crucial. Thankfully, Sweet Chef’s certified FSC paper allows us to recycle all of their containers. Overall, I’m really pleased with my skin and with Sweet Chef for creating cruelty-free and vegan skincare that is also devoid of synthetic colors and scents, as well as paraben-free.

Thank you Sweet Chef and make sure to try Sweet Chef Skincare!
