Welly Ball in Review

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Andrews chapter.

Welly Ball is probably my favourite event that St Andrews has to offer, so last Saturday my expectations were high. I am so pleased to say that I was not disappointed!

It was my first time attending the dinner held before the ball. I had been warned that there was more wine than food to be had, so I was prepared for the small meal. Our table had a great time joking around, and were ready to party by the time the afterparty guests arrived.

The music was great, with a mix of live bands and DJ’s meaning that there was something for everyone. One of my favourite new additions was the photobooth. Silly props and too many people trying to squeeze into a frame make for great pictures.

Overall I had an amazing time, everyone was in great spirits, and I’m so sad that this was my last Welly. The night was only helped along by the fact that I could dance for hours without my feet hurting!

If you didn’t make it this year, make sure you’re first in line next November!
