Stages of Revision Week – As Told by Cute Doggos

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Andrews chapter.

The last few weeks of each semester as incredibly stressful and with it, comes several ups and downs in emotions and motivations.

1. You get your notes, textbooks and snacks in order and are ready to go.

2. You immediately doze off in your chair.

3. You work through as many lectures as possible before needing to take a break.

4. After stopping, you go to the kitchen to make yourself more food, because you’ve already gone through everything at your desk.

5. You come back to your notes, ready to go again.. and fall back asleep.

6. Eventually, you manage to get your some more notes and then have a sudden fit of anxiety, leading you to seek any and all human contact. Hugs really do make everything better.

7. Come hell or high water, you get back to studying because you are nothing if not determined.

You’ve got this. Go ace those exams.

I am an American medical student at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. I have been an avid writer for several years, focusing mainly on creative writing. But I hope to be more involved in our university's culture, particularly by bringing interesting information to all of our students!
