Spring Break Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Andrews chapter.

Finally! We’re done. Can you believe it? It seems that St Andrews students hit a wall once we’ve been here for over six weeks. We start itching. We get antsy. We just can’t wait to get out. Luckily, the university cooperates and spreads breaks out pretty evenly throughout the year. We have reading week in November, a few weeks at Christmas, two weeks after exams in February, and now we have two weeks of spring break to look forward to.

In fact, I think this might be the most highly anticipated of all of our breaks, as it comes at that time of year when the sun is bursting through the haze of the Scottish winter, which means that we can only expect even warmer weather wherever we’re headed. How incredible does that sound?  Whether Portugal or San Diego is calling your name, you undoubtedly have a journey of some sort ahead of you. If the thoughts of beaches, boats, and bathing suits are not enough to keep you entertained, you might want to consider having a sunny playlist to accompany you to your destination.

Hayley Daen is a sophomore at the University of St Andrews, where she studies the most useless of subjects, Art History. She lives in a dinky apartment right across from Tesco, which makes throwing impromptu tea parties a snap. She loves blue-and-white striped shirts and has an (almost certainly unhealthy) obsession with Christmas.
