Soakings are a St Andrews tradition. After the last exam of your university career, your friends are waiting with buckets of ice and water to soak you. It is common to see students walking towards their friends as if they are walking towards their exocutioners. 

Hannah is a 4th year student of English Literature and Art History at the University of St Andrews.
