Sir Menzies Campbell is the Chancellor of the University of St Andrews. He is also the MP for North East Fife and a member of the Liberal Democrat Party.

While at university, He was a champion sprinter. He competed in the 1964 olympics and the commonwealth games. His political career is long and varied. He served at leader of the Liberal Democrats from 2006 to 2007.
