Oscars 2015: Best Dressed

On February 22nd the 87th Academy Awards took place in Hollywood. Although it is an awards dedicated to celebrating the best of films, directing, producing and acting, much of the attention today is focused on the red carpet glamour. Here is a pick of my top 5 best dressed at this years Oscars.

Margot Robbie

The Australian stunner looked incredible in a black chiffon Saint Laurent number, which was something different in-between all of the glitter and sequins. Her minimal make up, only incorporating a sever lip colour, and simplistic hair, made way for her show stopping necklace. The Zip Necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels, includes 150 diamonds and 300 sapphires!

Rosamund Pike

Gone Girl actress Rosamund wore an incredible appliqué Givenchy creation. The bright red and accentuated waist (it’s hard to believe she was pregnant 3 months ago) created a bombshell, bond girl look. Her minimum make up and sophisticated up-do, kept the look from being over the top and trashy. Her simple, matching shoes tie this stunning look together.

Reese Witherspoon

Nominated in the Actress in a Leading Role category for the film Wild, Reese lost out to Julianne Moore, however her red carpet look was a winner. Her elegant icy blue Tom Ford gown showed off her killer body with a strapless neckline and belted waist. Although some may feel the dress is a bit plain for such an awards, her sparking Tiffany & Co. jewellery made up for that.

Dakota Johnson

After the premier of 50 Shades only 2 weeks prior, the Oscars were always going to be big red carpet moment for Dakota. Her crimson, one shouldered Saint Laurent gown was incredible. The embellished shoulder added the glamour and the fitted shape flattered her petit frame perfectly.

Eddie Redmayne

No 2015 Oscar’s list would be complete without Eddie. Eddie’s influence on the red carpet has been almost as prominent as his presence on the screen recently.  Wearing a midnight blue McQueen suit he fulfilled his quintessentially English gentleman’s style.
