Nicola Sturgeon
With the UK Election coming up on the 7th May, Her Campus thought that we would spend some time profiling all the new potential leaders. This week, in respect of our Scottish nationality Her Campus has chosen Nicola Sturgeon our current First Minister of Scotland. Born in Aryshire Sturgeon graduated from the University of Glasgow having read Law in 1992. Haven taken up the SNP reigns after the resignation of her predecessor Alex Salmond after the unsuccessful 2014 Referendum, Sturgeon has been successful in sustaining a strong and united party and retained the support of her beloved country. In addition to her Scottish support, the UK media has portrayed her favorably victorious following the recent leaders television debates. Therefore, Her Campus St Andrews is definitely considering her as a contender for 10 Downing Street so watch this space!
