Black Owned Businesses In Seattle That You May Not Know About

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SPU chapter.

Throughout 2020, we have witnessed some injustices towards the Black community. Protesters took to the street in an effort to deconstruct white supremacy. I am sure you heard the Angela Davis phrase, “In a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist.” While there are many ways to actively fight against racism in our society, a good way is to put our money where our mouth is. Supporting Black businesses is supporting Black communities and historically, Black Americans do not have the same career and economic opportunities that white people do. In this article, Below is a list of those businesses and restaurants around Seattle.
